Most rent reports and listings on RentAtlas can be submitted without creating an account. Depending on what you choose to share, we may collect:
- Rent amount, property type, size, and location pin you submit
- Contact details (name, email, phone) if you list a property or reach out via our contact form
- An optional email address if you request a price alert for an area
2. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including your approximate location (derived from IP address, used to center the map and suggest local currency/tips), browser type, device type, and general usage data such as pages viewed and interactions with map features.
3. How We Use Information
- To display rent reports and listings on the interactive map
- To personalize your experience (e.g. showing rents in your local currency or country-specific tips)
- To respond to messages sent through our contact form
- To send optional rent alerts you've requested for a specific area

4. What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Rent amounts and property details submitted to the map are shown publicly as anonymous data points by design — do not include identifying information in a rent report unless you intend it to be public. Contact details you provide when listing a property are only shown to users who choose to view them.

7. Data Retention
Rent reports and listings are retained to keep the map accurate over time. You may request removal of a submission you made by contacting us with identifying details of the entry.
8. Your Choices
You can browse and use the map without submitting any personal information. If you've shared contact details as part of a listing or alert and want them removed, contact us using the form on our Contact page.
9. Children's Privacy
RentAtlas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
